The VNU-HCM Student Football Tournament - THACO CUP 2025 officially kicked off with its Launching and Draw Ceremony held on 01 November 2025 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT - VNU-HCM). This year's tournament continues to be meticulously organized and expanded in scale to foster stronger connection and interaction among students from universities across Ho Chi Minh City. The event is jointly organized by HCMUT - VNU-HCM and the Phu Tho - Bach Khoa Alumni Community (BKA).

 

This year, DECOFI is honored to accompany the tournament, contributing to a professional, fair and highly spirited sporting event for the student community. With more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry, DECOFI has always valued and supported sporting activities-where discipline, unity, and the resilience of young generations are nurtured.
THACO CUP 2025 features two main competitions:
• VNU-HCM Student Futsal Tournament - THACO CUP 2025 (Men & Women): taking place from 05 to 15 November, hosted by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with eight futsal teams representing VNU-HCM member universities.
• VNU-HCM Open Student Football Tournament - THACO CUP 2025 (Men): scheduled from 19 November to 07 December at Di An Stadium, featuring 12 teams, including eight teams from VNU-HCM universities and four guest teams: UEH, the People's Police University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, and RMIT Vietnam.

 

On the afternoon of 22 November 2025, the men's football tournament officially kicked off in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, fueled by strong sporting spirit and the presence of delegates, coaches, players, and a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters. The opening ceremony became even more memorable thanks to the electrifying cheers from the stands, boosting morale for all teams as they embarked on a challenging and exciting journey.
